The non-profit organization BIXI Montreal has been a key player in sustainable mobility for over 15 years. The bike-sharing system includes more than 12,600 bicycles (nearly 3,200 electric-assisted) to better serve the citizens. In fact, BIXI stations are also located outside of Montreal to meet the diverse needs of users, whether it’s for staying active while commuting to work or planning a bike ride on a sunny Sunday. In addition to Westmount, Ville Mont-Royal, Montreal-Est, Laval, Longueuil, Boucherville, Terrebonne, and Ste-Julie, the cities of Sherbrooke, Saint-Eustache, Deux-Montagnes, and Saint-Lambert will be getting stations in the summer of 2025.
